I need some help getting started on the install. I have a new server and the drives are not formatted. How do I start to load YES?
I didn't receive a CD with YES on it like the installation guide assumes. I downloaded it.
I am converting back to the UNIX world from DOS/Windows. I only have boot diskettes to DOS, though.
Thanks.

Here are the steps to follow:
1. Download the ISO image
2. Create a "bootable" cd of the ISO image
3. Make sure machine is "Bootable" from CD Rom/Drive
3. Place the CD in the CD Rom/Drive
4. Boot machine
5. Install
6. After finished reboot and answer questions
7. Done

please keep these things in mind:
- you don't have to manually partition because during installtion YES will do all of that for you.
- you don't need any resources to install YES except for the CD as it contains everything you need.
- you need to make the ISO image into a "bootable" CD, otherwise there is no way to install YES, as YES is a self contained unit.

Thanks...

You can make a bootable CD from almost any cd burner application. Which one do you use?
I have Nero. But it is asking for a floppy boot disk. I only have DOS boot disks...????

This howto if followed will result in your iso burns working.
You need a windows box, and a version of nero burning rom installed.
I have used any version from 5.8 up to 6 ultra.
A blank cdr or cdrw and of course a cdrw drive.
Open nero burning rom, close the wizard.
Select recorder - burn image.
Then browse to your downloaded iso file.
It will burn it when you click start.
You can get a version of nero that will work for 30 days from http://www.nero.com/us/index.html
If that dosent work for you for whatever reason, you can use Alcohol 120 percent. This software is easy once installed. You click image burning wizard, and browse to your downloaded iso.
FYI, the ISO image will be bootable, you do not have to specify anything else prior to recording your downloaded iso.
I am sure if you search on google for alcohol 120, you will find links and at least be able to download a demo version.
I have used both methods described above for burning a cdr iso. This is the way to go. It has always worked for me. Use any version of windows, any cdrw drive, and any generally available cdr or cdrw media. Off name brands like GQ should work. I normally use cdr media, not cdrw. They both will work, but the cdrw takes longer to burn.
Thank you,
